Neighborhood Easter Egg hunt

It was the weekend before Easter and the neighborhood had an Easter egg hunt and bbq. It was a lot of fun and even Chad came out to it.

She didn't think she got enough eggs. She recovered quickly and still had two more Easter egg hunts to do, one at Charla's and one at my mom's house.

Brooke the naturalist

These are both from preschool. I love the one where the butterfly is on her arm. She loves nature and being out in it. She's rarely scared and I know she loved that the butterfly was on her arm.

Growing up too fast

These pictures are back when he was four months old. He's six and a half months now and definitely growing up too fast. He sleeps through the night 7-6 most nights, about 70% of the time. He's mostly a happy content baby. If he fusses we know he's either tired or hungry. He just had a tooth poke up from his gum so I've started weaning him slowly. I now only nurse him three times a day and the occasional night waking. He loves laughing and his favorite person to laugh at is Brooke. Every time he sees her he breaks out into a huge grin because he know she's going to do something fun, like dance and sing. He loves both his sisters and they are his favorite people to smile at and laugh at. He started giving me big open mouthed kisses and I love it. I love to hold him and snuggle him and he lets me a little big. Mostly he wants to bounce and move. He can scoot a little on his bottom. Tonight while helping Brielle with her book report he kept scooting over to her. He rocks back and forth while sitting and uses his feet to move himself. It's very slow but I had to keep scooting him back because he wanted her book. He doesn't roll over, he did at four months and for a few weeks would roll both ways several times a day but then quit and won't do it anymore. He also used to say dada but he won't do that anymore either. He's becoming more vocal and squeals and says ahh mostly. I'm going to download a video of him saying dada too. He's curious about everything and tries to get everything I'm holding. He doesn't like solids that much lately but when I do give him something he likes he eats a ton of it. I've given him little pieces of bread and he makes this horrid face. He's a lot of fun and I'm just enjoying him so much!

Birthday party blast

The girls got invited a birthday party. He's in our ward and turned five. Their family does huge parties for age five, eight, and 12 I think. His name is Tiger and I'm pretty sure Brooke has a crush on him, though I think she has a crush on almost every boy her age who pays any attention to her. They sat behind us one Sunday and when she saw him she literally fell out of her chair. The rest of Sunday she couldn't be restrained and both Chad and I had to take her out of sacrament two different times when we don't usually ever have too.

The party had horseback riding (another person in the ward brought their horse), a bounce house, bbq chicken, hot dogs, a trampoline, and smores. The girls had a blast.

They look like they are having fun but they both said they wouldn't do it again.

Spring Break Trip

We didn't go far for spring break. We've been saving for Disneyland but we wanted to do something over spring break so I took the girls and Tate to the Phoenix Zoo. The zoo is one of Brooke's favorite places since she wants to be a zoo keeper.

Tate was a good sport and just hung out in his stroller.

We've been to the sting ray pond before but they were always too scared to try and touch them.

This is the first year they were brave enough to try.

They said they were gross and slimy.
