Too the zoo

Last week was my mom's fall break so Brielle and I headed up there to go to Schneff's Farms with mom, Jenny and Calli. Unfortunately Schneff's Farms is closed on Monday, so instead we headed to the zoo. Brielle was very disappointed but was ok with going to the zoo instead. Here are some pictures from our trip.

Brielle the model?

For not being a "girly girl" she sure likes to pose for pictures and when she sees my camera she likes to say "take a picture of me like this mommy." Here are some of her poses.

Happy Birthday Chad!

Chad had his birthday this month and he is now the ripe old age (and he really does think he's old haha) of 31. I have a very funny husband. He didn't want to go out to eat for his birthday (and he felt El Charro was to far of a drive for his birthday or else he would have gone there) so I offered to bring something home for him since I know that he really doesn't like going to restaurants but often would rather eat the restaurant food in the privacy of own home. I also offered to cook whatever he wanted but he choose to have Cousin's Subs brought home. Then I wanted to know what kind of cake or pie or whatever he wanted. He said he wanted nothing but I told him he had to have something so we could put a candle on it and sing Happy Birthday so him which was more for Brielle's sake than his. So of everything he could choose he wanted chocolate Hostess cupcakes. So that's why he's blowing out his candles off of Hostess cupcakes and not a cake. Its not cause his wife can't make a cake or forgot and rummaged through the pantry for something.
Brielle was really cute for the whole thing and so excited. I had taken her to Target earlier that week and she got Chad a pillow because he had been wanting another one since I hog the third pillow now that I'm pregnant. So she helped me wrap the present but then decided one present wasn't enough for Chad (he had gotten himself some video games for his birthday too he didn't just get a pillow for his birthday). I told to go look for something to get him then. She went into her room and came out with her purple blanket that's just big enough to barely cover her and she often uses it to play with her babies, so we wrapped that too. She was so excited she jumped up and down when Chad came home and started yelling that she had got him a nice comfy blanket for his blanket. Of course she helped him unwrap everything, sung Happy Birthday to him really loud and almost quivered with excitement while her hands clenched and unclenched when he blew out his candles.

Social life of a three year old

Brielle has many more friends now since she has started preschool. She loves it and looks forward to it every week. She's also started to really enjoy getting to together with friends whenever she can. She asked tonight what we were going to do tomorrow and I told probably just go to the grocery store. She said that that wasn't very fun and was wondering if I couldn't drop her off at a friends house while I went shopping. Here is a picture or her with her friend Natalie. I need to get some pictures of her with her preschool class.

Halo 3

Halo 3 is out now and Chad loves it. For those who aren't up on the latest and greatest video games it's the hot new video game made for Xbox. Its a shooter game and supposedly very well made (thats what Chad tells me, he also wishes I would play with him but I just can't get into it). Chad and his brothers have been playing together via the internet whenever they can.

Obsession

Marie gave me a copy of Twilight by Stephenie Meyer to read and now I'm obsessed. It's true just ask Chad. I had to buy the second and third book as soon as I was done with the first one and I have read the first one three times through already and the other books I have read twice. I now sadly have to wait until the fourth one comes out in a year. Its a really fun romance book with vampires. I usually stay away from romance books, but I liked this one alot, which is unusual. The only love stories I usually like are the classics like Jane Austen.

Birthday parties

Brielle had her third birthday party in August. She seems like a little girl now and no longer a baby at all. (Though she still may wish she were a baby sometimes) I spoiled her and she had two birthday parties. I can safely say that I doubt that will happen again. Next year I'm just doing one party. We had one in Gilbert with our family and then one with her friends in Tucson. It was a lot of fun though and of course Brielle loved it.

This is from the birthday party at my mom's house.
