Cotter Pictures

Marianne and Bill were so nice to take pictures and then give us a CD of them. These were taken at the Cotter Easter party and the Good bye to Buck and Nadia park party. The pictures are gorgeous.

Buck and one of his twins, Wes.

Brookie, and she's very concerned about the easter egg hunt going on right then and getting enough eggs.

Charlie Watts, doesn't he have a Cotter face?

I just love this little girl. She's too darn cute.

Macey Cotter, she just reminds me of a little pixie or sprite. She should have wings.

The Best Ward Party Ever

Last night, April 30th, was our Ward's birthday party and I think it was one of the best ward parties we have ever been too. The theme was western and Chad was in charge of getting the country music and he was also in charge of the three legged boot race. It started with games for the kids. They were so cute with fun names. I can't believe the priesthood was in charge of it. (they must have had help) They had to drop snakes in boots, rope a 'cow', jump a jump rope rattle snake, do a three legged boot race, ride horse brooms around hay stacks, and have a shoot out. Then we ate hot dogs. Afterward there was line dancing and me and Brielle had tons of fun trying out all of the dances.

Brielle's piano recital

Brielle had her first piano recital of the season. The second is May 14th at my piano recital. This is her at her piano teacher's recital, Kim Watson. She played Musette very well. She got a trophy for finishing Suzuki Lvl. 1 and a ribbon for playing C,D,A,and E scales.

She had a bunch more performances coming up. But most recently she sang at the Brown's baptism, a convert in our ward. She sang a solo, I Want to Be Baptised, and did so well and made everyone cry again. Next she has her first grade concert, a bug play with the rest of the first grades, my piano recital, a voice recital, and four performance of Alladin Jr. with her school to do. We're going to be busy this month.

Easter Sunday

Easter Sunday was wonderful. The girls were both excited to get Easter baskets early in the morning. Brooke had forgotten about Easter and so was surprised to get an Easter basket. Brielle had tried to explain to her that she was getting an easter basket in the morning but that didn't mean much to her. She already had an Easter bastket. They each got matching dresses, new matching church shoes, new swimming suits, new flip flops, a new my little pony, and a hoody bath towel. They went throught their baskets and then I got them dressed and ready for 8:00 church. We were actually on time, though I didn't make the early chior practice that I was supposed to go to.

After church Chad griled hot dogs for lunch and we outside. It was a beautiful day and I loved sitting out there enjoying what was left of the cooler weather and talking to Chad while the kids ran around the backyard playing.

Then we went to my dad's house for dinner. The kids got to have another easter egg hunt there and eat my dad's delicious food.

Cooley Easter Party

The next weekend was the Cooley Easter party. It was at my Aunt Sharon's house and all of my mother's brothers and sisters were invited. My grandma Cooley was there with her little dog, but the number of children had shrunk a lot. Only five kids did the easter egg hunt. I remember when there was twenty of more cousins all running around my grandma's big backyark off of Baseline road searching for easter eggs. Time flies.

Cotter Easter party

The Saturday before Easter we hosted the Cotter Easter Party. Everyone was able to come so we had a lot of fun. We had an Easter egg hunt and lots of yummy food, honey baked ham, home made rolls, deviled eggs, salad, and the best tasting bunny cakes ever.
